Why use the plunge pool?
The temperature in the sauna, steam bath, or whirlpool is high. Your body absorbs that heat, causing your body temperature to rise. That is why it is important to cool your body afterward. This stimulates your blood vessels and boosts your circulation, allowing more oxygen to reach your muscles. It feels wonderful.
How do you cool down most effectively? Submerge yourself in the cold-water pool or take a cold shower. Or tip the bucket all at once. On cold winter days, a walk through our forest garden is also highly recommended.
